Our members
We currently have over 100 different member groups. Our members are at the heart of the Equality Coalition. Their knowledge, collaboration, and commitment drive our work, and without them, the Coalition simply would not exist.
Information sharing and expertise
The Equality Coalition provides a unique space in Northern Ireland where organisations and experts across equality and human rights fields meet to share information, insights, and developments. No other forum brings together this breadth of expertise in a single, collaborative setting. We also share member updates to our mailing list, and help to promote events and share resources from our members.
Collective voice for equality
The Equality Coalition brings together a wide range of organisations working on equality and human rights, creating space for connection, collaboration, and mutual support. We amplify our voices by working together and pushing for systemic change, including progress on long-standing priorities such as a robust anti-poverty strategy and stronger equality protections in Northern Ireland. Membership also provides regular networking opportunities to build relationships with organisations and experts working across equality and human rights
Events and workshops
Members have access to events and workshops exclusively for Equality Coalition members, Recent examples include training on Misinformation and disinformation provided by Fact Check NI, and gender budgeting training.
Engagement with public authorities
The Coalition creates structured opportunities for members to engage collectively with government departments, public bodies, and oversight institutions, enabling more meaningful dialogue and influence than individual engagement alone.
Directory of members
Cumulatively, our member organisations work across all nine equality categories covered by Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998, as well as on other recognised protected equality grounds, including (but not limited to) socio-economic status, language, citizenship, irrelevant criminal record, and immigration status.
